Recently there was an article in TOI about planting Tulsi to save Taj Mahal.. According to this article, Tulsi or Holy Basil is known for its anti oxidation, anti pollutant and air purifying properties. For centuries Indians have worshipped the Holy Basil, having a tulsi plant outside every house, and experience tells us that most of our old customs though followed by rote and thus losing their meaning.. always had a very practical reason behind them.
This is a request to the members of Basant and eventually the whole of Cuffe Parade.. if every flat of every building had Tulsi growing outside, can you imagine the health benefits this could entail.. for apart from fighting pollution and warding off insects, Tulsi taken in many forms is also beneficial for health.
